Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) is a radar features thousands of independent Transmit/Receive (T/R) modules that allow it to steer beams electronically in microseconds without any mechanical movement, Its distributed architecture provides high reliability meaning the radar continues to function even if some modules fail and enables the tracking of multiple targets at once by allocating specific beams to each. Furthermore, AESA systems are highly resistant to enemy jamming through rapid frequency hopping and are inherently adaptable to new missions through continuous software-driven enhancements.
